Spring Trends - Viva Variety!

I just got back from the Philadelphia Flower Show; boy, did I need that breath of fresh floral air! What a welcome break from Winter! What a feast for the eyes - and nose! That has to be the thing I love about the Spring and Spring fashion trends; everything is so fresh and warm.

I've been plowing through the articles online about the Spring '08 trends, and I think I've picked up the most important points to look for.

First - flowers, flowers everywhere! Whether in tiny, delicate calicos or bold, bright tropical satins, the flora fad is fabulous. Here at Ulla Popken, we've embraced this with glee. Check out such stunning pieces as the Tropical Print Satin Dress (Item # 81204), the Retro Floral Camp Shirt (Item # 81406), or the Denim Damask Jacket (Item # 81304).

Second - spiced up black and neutrals! Black for Spring? Absolutely! Especially when paired with white or ecru in a broad graphic print: see our Bubble-Hemmed Dress (Item # 81211) for a classic look or our Abstract Print Swing Dress with Crop Leggings (Items # 81201 & 81604) for high drama. Soft khakis, off-whites, pale pinks and peaches, and delicate greens help lighten up the wardrobe, especially when layered with pieces of a slightly darker hue. Our ultra-feminine Tapestry Jacket (Item # 81302) goes wonderfully with khaki skirts, olive Tango pants, or well-worn jeans.

Third - rock the mix! This Spring brings us lingerie-inspired pieces that layer beautifully with more tailored separates. Take our Satin Burout Blouse and Tank (Items #81410 & 8144) mixed with the Relaxed Classic Twill Pants (Item # 81806) in Navy. Or pair our khaki Pintuck Skirt(Item # 81701) with the Print Duster Blouse (Item #81401).

Spring is about renewal and rejuvination...let your wardrobe reflect this wonderful time of year. Happy thoughts!
