Thanks for the great web-site. I found everything I was looking for very easily. The web-site is very user-friendly that even I can understand. I cant forget to mention that the clothes are great too!

love the web-site and the ecatalog is just awesome I like being able to go to any page and click on the item I like and go directly to that item to buy great feature. I recently purchased the EMBROIDERED LACE CAFTAN DRESS and the color changing ability by clicking on the swatch is so nice and the dress fits perfectly.

Please make your website work with a browser other than Internet Explorer. Those of us who want to protect our machines from intrusions use Firefox, it is a much better browser. Unfortunately your website was only built with internet explorer in mind so if I want to buy something and I click add to cart it, users get a can't complete command and the user isn't able to purchase. I am not going to use internet explorer, alot of people don't. Don't lose sales because your page code isn't built for all browsers.

Anonymous -- thanks so much for the comments regarding our browsers. I checked with the site administrator. To our knowledge, www.ullapopken.com supports virtually every browser in common use today. Some shoppers recently reported problems when navigating with Mozilla. Well, it seems there was a coding problem that needed to be fixed.

You're right! Web shopping needs to be quick and easy. Please contact support@ullapopken.com with specific examples. We want to fix this and really appreciate any insight you can provide.

I was in Europe last summer and found some great striped jackets at Ulla Popken. But when I came to the US I found they were not available in the US. Why don't you sell the same merchandise here? (Some of it is th same, obviously.) I love lots of your US stuff too, but those jackets were the cutest.

Ulla Popken Europe and Ulla Popken U.S. are separate companies. So, you won't find the same items on both sites. You will, however, find unique and fabulous items from which to choose.

I also which I could purchase items of the European site. I also wish you would reintroduce jeans that have button/zipper and are in tall sizes. Thanks

Sure would like to see better quality fabrics to go along with the great styles and sizing. After one washing everything I have purchased this year looked like a rag and I wash on delicate with cold water in Woolite. Love knowing I can find clothes that will fit and possibly run big in plus size and that I won't look like my Grandma in the styles ULLA has designed for the plus world. How about more robes and gowns to keep warm in, while still looking good.

About that "Toss-on fleece jacket," http://ullapopken.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_65561:

This jacket should be available year-round! Has anyone there noticed that it sells out in every color and size every time you offer it? PLEASE, PLEASE, keep this jacket available--it is an indispensable layering piece, especially in black. I have one, which someone splashed bleach on, and I would like to replace it.

Thanks for allowing the input,

Colene

I am so disappointed that the above fleece "toss-on" fleece jacket #65561 is not available now!!!

This piece is something that is useful to me year-round--I replaced an worn-out LLBean one with this, and like it better, but every time I try to re-order they are sold out.

Please, PLEASE stock this jacket year-round. The black one I have has been spoiled, and I want very much to replace it. I would buy 2.

Thanks,

Colene
(If you get two versions of this message, it's because I'm not sure that the first one went through. )

I agree -- there is nothing better than a soft, universal, great fitting jacket. It's an all-season staple.
We have heard your Voice and will pass along the blog.

I agree wholeheartedly with the comment about better fabrics! Viscose/rayon blends are generally trash! Give me some clothes that are of the same quality as the the thinner women are wearing!

Also, I would love to see more true career wear--tailored styles--blouses sans all the ruffles and bows that just look sloppy and goofy on me. Oh, and no way am I wearing sequins, beads, or swirl velvet burnout to the office so if you must include these things in the "carreer" section, please balance them out with more conservative, but still stylish suits.

Blouses like this one http://ullapopken.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_34403

need to be produced with a touch of spandex or something so they don't wrinkle the moment I put them on. My husband is able to buy "easy-iron" shirts that only need to be touched up with the iron and look great all day. How about getting some blouses/shirts for me that look as good?

Especially because I'm a plus-size, I want to look neat, both at work and in my casual time.

I would also appreciate it if you would offer cloting in petite lengths. Every top I buy from you is too long in the sleeves; every pair of pants, slacks (with the exception of the jeans) has to be altered. Most times the sleeves cannot be shortened so I'm stuck--again the sloppy/goofy look. I am 5'4" BTW which is exactly average so I doubt I'm the only one with this problem.

If I looked better in your clothes, and it didn't cost me a premium for alterations, I'm pretty sure I would purchase more from your company.

Thanks for listening. I'm happy you've added this blog; I have never before felt the company really cared about my opinions.

Tina G,
We're glad you like our Blog. Thanks for taking the time to send your thoughts and opinions regarding Ulla Popken's fit and fabric. Please know they are read by everyone and given serious consideration!
In fact, we plan to carry Wrinkle Free Shirts for Summer 2007 (You can actually view this New Collection on-line in January). I think I'm the Queen of White Shirts -- so I know what you are talking about.

I love Ulla's fashions, but this year there were very few casual sweaters, much less than last year. I purchased some of what you had and I love them. Could you stock more casual sweaters next year? Also, is there a way to order from the British website? Thanks.

I love Ulla clothes. But I wish they would make a few tops, sweaters and jackets 30 inches long. 32 makes us look sooo short legged!!

Ulla Popken has been my favorite place to shop for the last EIGHT years or so!

I live in San Diego, CA and visit my parents in Surburban Philly a few times a year. I very much miss your stores in King of Prussia, PA and Towson, MD. After the King of Prussia store closed, I'd fly into BWI when visiting Philly so that I could detour to Towson!

My girlfriend and I had a blast shopping at the Ulla store in Paris on Hausmann when we were there last fall. (yes, I know it's a separate company... but the style sensiblities are similar... both Modern and European!)

I can honestly say that if you had a brick and mortar store in Southern California, it would be my SOLE resource for filling my closets... even if I had to drive 100 miles to Los Angeles.

Keep up the good work!

The Clothes are really nice but way too expensive.. Being plus size shouldn't mean we should have to pay 45 bucks for a tee shirt. Does it?

I love your clothes. I would like to see more business suits. I bought a lovely black siut from you some time ago and I also shopped in your that was in Pa or Md.
PLease consider my suit request.

Thanks

I miss those wonderful basic knit pants you had. knit/lycra (or spandex) and elastic waist. Mine are wearing out and I am sad. :-(

Why are there no 2007 comments?

Dear ulla....I absolutely love your style of clothing! I found you by accident on-line! I was passed being disappointed about large women clothing and thought I would have to wear the Quacker's clothe's ..... Now... I do have one concern your jean's are really large for the size, especially in the bottom's area....I hope you will check this out and get back to me on what you can do about this...thank you for your time..

I have pretty much given up ordering any Ulla Popken items, because they are simply to expensive for my Canadian dollar. I like a lot of the clothes, but...., sorry Ulla Popken, I have to shop at Addition-Elle (not exactly cheap either) or Penningtons here in Alberta, Canada. Maybe some of that Ulla style could be sold in one of those stores.

More for tall women - not all voluptous women are short! I am 5'10" and wear a 24 - try to find a tall anything in that size, especially tops!!! I must say I am thankful that cropped pants are "in" - if not, I would be in BIG trouble! :)

First, sorry for my poor english. I buy your product and be satisfied but like the lady before it is too expensive for my Canadian dollar, not for the price of the clothes but for the shipping and duty. Example: it cost me 47$ shipping and duty on a 93$ clothes. I used to buy from and other company from U.S.A. and it is very less expensive on shipping and no duty to pay on delivery, please check, the problem is the broker.
A tv program explain that those expenses as no reason and should not be so expensive (the canadian part). If you want to expand you market in Canada and I think we neek more choice for voluptous women look at this matter.
thanks. Anne-Marie

I also feel you are missing out on the Canadian market - the cost additions of taxes, conversion and customs duties are ridiculous and cost prohibitive for most of us. Is there no way Ulla Popken could set up a Canadian mailing address so these costs might be avoided? It is also very difficult to return items - it was such a hassle that I actually have items in my closer that did not fit and I have given up trying to exchange them. It is not YOUR fault, but still anything that you can do to assist your Canadian customers would be extremely helpful, beneficial and I guarantee your sales would be much higher.

Thanks,
Judi.

Hi! I adore Ulla clothing. I wish so much there were stores on the US West Coast. The essential tees are , well, essential. I love them because they are nice and long. I bought one recently that shrunk a lot in length, though. Would fit great if I were an OompaLoompa. What do I do?

Anonymous said...

I might leave a comment about fit or style but have yet to receive my order - I ordered in May and was recently told my dress might come the middle of July if it can make it through customs. What is up with that?
