Who Wore It Best?

How great would it be to be able to have the first look at new fashions? Better yet, being able to try on all the newest fashions? That is exactly what our models get to do at every photo shoot. They give the clothes a little personality, and give us an idea of what the clothes look like on a person!

Which model do you think “Wore it best”?

Page 78 of your summer preview book, letter A-item # 92279 this lady reminds me of June Cleaver back in the 50’s I love this look. It was hard for me to pick one person as the whole book is wonderful. I think this is the best catalog you have ever put out! Way to Go Ulla! http://ullapopken.com/product.asp?pn=92279

I love the boho! The bohemian skirt on page 87 is beautiful and the model looks great in the outfit!

I love the model and look of 92268 Bare-your-shoulders Dress - I have not seen this model before in the Ulla catalog and I think she looks great in most of the outfits she wore through out the book.

I think the model on p51 in the satin tank dress looks classy and elegant. With a little wrap, this looks exactly like the kind of pretty, modern dress I would want to wear to a summer wedding or evening function.

I like the model wearing the bright leopard jacket (92317). The whole outfit is put together well and she really sells it. On the reverse side, the cling-free ribbed tee (82532) is a great tee, I have several, but looks too big on the model.

Glad you asked. I love the look of the watercolor floral duster, 92423 on page 5. The colors in the print with the black pants look great. The model wearing the batik print tunic on the back cover with the white pants is the look I want for this summer. Cool, crisp and comfy.

This one of the best books I have seen so far. Way to go Ulla Popken.

I think the blonde model on the cover represents perfectly the essence of Ulla: Sophisticated, confident and with her own personal sense of style. I especially love her in the off-the-shoulder number on pg 77. Just goes to show you that you don't have to be 18 yrs old and a size 2 to look hot!

Besides loving item 92422, I think the model looks great too. Actually she makes all of your items shine.

None... they do not at all represent the people who will wear the clothes. Quite frankly, they are just too skinny to show off plus size clothing.

Dear Anonymous,

I am very sorry you feel our models do not properly show the average Ulla customer. However, all of our models come from the top plus size modeling companies. In the modeling industry a 12/14 is plus size, and all of our models showcase this size.

Thank you so much for your comment!

Size 12/14 may be considered "plus" in the modelling industry but in the real world it is just average. Probably even on the low end of average. Still don't feel it represents your customers so there is no way to know how the clothes will fit until you actually get them and you can often be very disappointed.

Hollie, what is the name of the model on page 3 of the new Fall Preview catalog? She is the "essence" of Ulla Popken and has the best smile!

Hi Joan:

We at Ulla Popken agree with you, we truly feel she does a wonderful job representing Ulla! Becca Thorpe has been working with us for over 10 years and lives close to our location in MD. She has a wonderful personality and does a great job at modeling our clothing.
