Yes! I feel wearing pants is reflective of the demeanor of a strong (confident) and stylish woman. A bit masculine? Yes, sometimes, but also soft, wide-legged pants can be the ultimate in femininity! When wearing pants I'm comfortable, I'm fashionable, I'm ME!

I love the part of the Giannini quote about pants reflecting a strong, stylish woman! I think the right pants can set the tone for your whole look. I personally look for pants that are soft and flowing but not bulky, the drawstring leg capris look right up my alley!
Yay, pants! Pants are so much more sensible than skirts. Then again, I've always been a bit of a tomboy.

I don't know if I agree with the comment or not, but I definitely know I feel better when I have on a pair of well fitting pants. I look for a pant that fits to my waist, none of that hip hugger stuff for me - I leave that to the teenagers! As well as being 6 feet tall, I need length. I know my shorter friends all complain about to much length, but ladies, it is so much simpler to hem pants then to lengthen them when there is no fabric to lengthen with! I am looking at the jeans!

I love the loose fit of most of Ulla's pants. I prefer the wide leg style and a iron-free fabric. Thanks for the quality and style, 2 qualities hard to find in Plus Size clothing.
I've had a shirt/jacket from Ulla Popken for almost 20 years(it seems) that I still wear--it's timeless and stylish and wonderful!
I think the pants are styled just for us women with curves.
I discovered Ulla a few years ago and was excited to find large lady clothes that were stylish, upto date and well made. No frumpy old-lady styles or colors. I like the wide leg look, it is flattering and comfortable. I have to wear compression hose that stick to tighter legs. The fabrics are great, too. SPhilippi

I like a wide leg pant to dress up or down, so the wide leg knit stretch pants would be my choice!
I like the draw string waist.I can wear a smaller size to fit me if the waist gives. Also lOVE the fuller leg.I feel pants are more confortable. I buy Ulla when I can
afford the article much better made. I wait for sale and free shipping. Like all fabrics, can wear for all events. Don't care for stretch fabric.

I love that Ulla Popken carries almost everything. (Except for polyester knits - I remember older, large women wearing that when I was young. YUCK!)
Ulla carries good quality, fantastic styles in clothes that fit. Pants - I get all my pants/slacks from Ulla now.
I look for straight or slightly narrowed legs, elastic waist (yeah can't stand a waist that's too tight), an easy-care fabric. Those can all be found at Ulla Popken.
I agree that the pants a woman wears sets the tone for the entire outfit. You see how you fit and how you feel in them and then choose a loose, cool gypsy blouse and a pair of Jesus sandals:) Awesome casual night out with friends!

I know I'm *waaaay* late for the party, but just had to leave a comment about Ulla pants. I always get compliments when I wear my Ulla ensembles, and people always want to know where I got my outfit. U.P. clothing makes me feel very confident and sexy. The cut and drape of the fabrics, and the beautiful embellishments on the blouses are so unique. I like that the straight cut pants don't have the extra bags at the hips like most pants seem to. And, I love that they have pockets!!!! And that they are well made. They aren't going to fall apart after the second washing.
Most of all, I love that I can put on a pair of pants that fit my body and that I feel good in them. I feel sleek and slinky, or I feel ready to tackle playing on the floor with the kids (depending on the outfit) but most of all, I know I look good while I'm doing it, because it's Ulla.

Thanks for these jeans! Usually new jeans are stiff and they need several washings before they are comfortable. Wow, I read all of the comments on the blog about Ulla Popken's clothes and I'm impressed. I got a catalog in the mail and decided to go online to see if there were any reviews about the clothes. Ulla clothes are wonderful!
I was a lucky recipient of a free pair of UP jeans a little bit ago. they looked great as I pulled them from the package. Unfortunately, they had a short rise and did not fit me at the 'waist'. I was totally bummed.
Luckily my BFF is the right size and these jeans fit her perfectly. She is now an Ulla Popken fan!

I received a pair of Ulla Popken Hemi drawstring capris- brown in color, and I absolutely love them! The color is rich and vibrant, the fabric is cool and comfortable, and they really do make me look slimmer.
